The strength of Krakow lies in the large academic community, good education of residents, and graduates of Krakow universities. In the „Investment Report 2019: Thriving Metropolitan Cities”, Krakow took 3rd place in Europe, behind London and Warsaw regarding the “Share of population with higher education".

Every year in Krakow, approximately 50,000 students graduate. 13 thousand are graduates of technical faculties. The largest number of graduates of Krakow universities are specialists in finance, linguistics, and IT.
