Krakow, old Capital City of Poland

Krakow (Cracow) combines the advantages of a lively city with the warmth and friendliness of a historic town. It is a city of contrasts with its world-famous Square, Royal Castle and Cathedral, standing close to modern hotels, shopping centres, sporting facilities and the brand new office buildings and technoparks.

Whether you are interested in history, music, the arts, architecture or sports, Krakow has something to offer everyone. You will find plenty to do in Krakow in your spare time. The city is surrounded by beautiful countryside and nature lovers will appreciate the nearby mountains, which are only a short drive away.

The city is also a thriving centre for business and commerce attracting inward investors from all over the world.

Krakow is a great place to be a student. Besides our own University, there are several other public ones, including  Jagiellonian University established in 1364 – one of the oldest universities in the world and even more private Higher Eductation establishments, Colleges of Fine Arts, Music and Drama. Although Krakow is a cosmopolitan city, it does not have an over-concentration of foreign students and you will find it easy to practice your Polish language here.

Krakow is conveniently situated and Warsaw is just a two-and-a half-hour away by train. There are excellent rail links to the rest of Poland and Central Europe, as well as an international airport.
